Kuala Selangor is a laid back small town. To get there from KL, head to the NKVE highway and cut off Sg. Buloh. Then drive through a trunk road all the way to Kuala Selangor. Total journey time would take approximately 1 - 1.5 hours depending on the traffic I guess.

Of all the airports I have been to I have to take my hats off Voted World’s Best Airport - Hong Kong International Airport. The airport is totally organised, clean and totally complete.

Before checking it there were tons of restaurants to choose from. Thai, Vietnamese and of course western and chinese food. We tried some chinese restaurant at terminal two (where airasia docks) and the dim sum served was pretty ok. We had - har kau, char siew pau, porridge and siew mai - standard stuffs and tea - At first I thought the meal would be expensive but to my surprised it was about HKD88. It was truly value for money.

Toilets are totally clean and lights all brightly lited up. The whole airport is filled with restaurants and shops to keep anyone busy while waiting for their flights.

Beautifully architectured airport - it could possibly be better than Changi Airport. Wait a minute, it is better than Changi.

Cleanest airport I have been too. Much much cleaner than our KLIA and a thousand times better than our LCCT.

There is even a Disney shop in the airport.

You could get good bargains at the Disney shop at the airport. Last minute shopping couldn’t be so great.

Checking in is so organised and pretty high teched.

More and more shops everywhere - and restaurants upstairs.

Most children friendly airport I have ever been to. A children area for them to watch their favourite cartoons.

Never short of branded shops.

A truly 5 star airport and if given a chance I would most probably wouldn’t mind transitting here.

For those with kids and would like to experience an all day event at Disneyland - it is good to put up at the Disney’s hotel. We put up at the Disney’s Hollywood hotel and it was a nice experience.

The room we got was a 2 x double bedroom - ample space from our Dorsett Seaview room - at least 3 times the size. hahaha.. As you can see the pictures above, LCD TV with loads of Disney channels that your kids would love.

Nice double beds. Very comfortable.

Everything has a mickey mouse theme even on their shampoos and bubble baths.

Bathroom comes with a nice full size bath tub.

Everything including their lamps has the mickey logo on it.

Bedroom slippers free for you to take home and it even comes with 3 bottles of mineral water free! Good souvenirs.

And since it was already late we decided to get a quick meal at the restaurant below. We  ate at their international buffet restaurant which closes at 10 p.m. and costs us about HKD600 for two. Pricey but quite standard for buffet dinners. Even if you were to have buffet dinners at a hotel in KL, it would cost you about RM100++ per person. There are other diners available in the hotel but we didn’t know at first. We thought this was the only one.

There were a huge varieties to choose from - the international buffet offers seafood, chinese food - e.g. dim sum, vegetables, sweet and sour stuffs, thai, indian, bbq stuff, wide range of desserts, soups, etc.

Japanese and seafood. The crabs are the japanese type crabs with long legs. Can hardly find them in KL. I think.

Overall our one night stay at Disney’s Hollywood Hotel was a pleasant one. Would I come back here again? Oh definitely. Perhaps we would like to stay at the other Disney’s hotel the next time around.

Next in most disney goers stop would be fantasyland. Its where mickey and the rest of the disney characters would be in. This part would be the favourites for most kids. I particularly enjoyed the Mickey’s Philharmagic 3D show. I think the kids would love this too but it can be quite thrilling.

Some waits can be long however the wait is good to take a break and relax.

And soon it was time for the parade. 6 p.m. I think was the parade.

Everything good has to end some how. The finale was the fireworks and show but I will not put that here.

At night in Disneyland can be a magical experience. Especially at night and in December, snows starts falling from the sky. Snow?

Yes snow! Something that you shouldn’t miss. Disney at night when all the lights are lighted up. I know kids are tired and all but it is a must see, That’s why it is always better to stay at a Disney hotel nearby.

Before you go back - dont forget your souvenirs and goodies. Pictures taken by professionals can be pretty costly affair. Pictures cost HKD100 a shot but you dont have to get everything - only the good ones to take home will do.

My verdict on Hong Kong Disneyland? Great place! Its just the right size to bring your kids over there and have a ball of a time without breaking the bank. With Airasia.com and hotels all inclusive, it would be a great christmas holiday for the family - spending some time with them with great end of the year cool weather and a whole family day fun.  Thumbs up Disneyland Hong Kong.

After going through main street you will be branched off to do what you want - to explore places that you have never explored, different realms and all. So the nearest realm would be Tomorrowland. Yes tomorrowland is where space mountain lies and it is probably the only thrilling ride in disneyland. So kids of a certain height, get lost! This is for big boys only. From my experience : Space mountain ride can be pretty scary in the beginning - where it goes up and up and up… and the thought of free falling down in the dark could make any balls shrink but when it goes, it just turns and turns in high speed in the dark. You could come out puking - I came out unable to walk straight.

Apart from space mountain there is the buzzlight years where you sit around and shoot at stuff. I could only get to level 3 and then there is the autopia car ride where you have to steer and break. Quite interesting for the young ones.

Next on our agenda was Adventureland. I would say that this would be my favourite part of the park as it gives a feeling of being in the dense jungle. I felt that I was in another world at Adventureland.

Adventureworld. The picture above is the Jungle Cruise. Pretty cool ride and highly recommended. There are tours in English & Chinese for you to choose from.

The cruise can be a pretty funny experience.

Tarzan’s tree house.

Getting to Tarzan’s tree house requires you to cross the river.

Lunch or any meal at Disneyland can be a costly affair. We had chicken rice and duck rice and a sprite.

The meal costed us HKD120.00 - approximately RM60 but who is to complain. We are here for fun eventhough things are so expensive here…

The newest attraction for Disneyland is “ITS A SMALL WORLD” - we were lucky to be able to catch it and it is nice to experience it.

Clock ticking at a certain time. I wont post pictures of the ride inside so that the people who hasn’t been to disneyland can enjoy their moment and be surprised!
